Jungfraujoch IGY, Switzerland

The detector is housed on top of the Sphinx Observatory Jungfraujoch. The operation of the neutron monitors is supported by the Physikalisches Institut of the University of Bern and by the International Foundation High Altitude  Research Stations Jungfraujoch and Gornergrat (HFSJG), CH-3012 Bern, Switzerland.

Detailed station information

The custodians at the high altitude research station remove the snow at least once a day (usually in the early morning), if there is snow on the roof or around the detector housing. Snow removal and incidents as strong wind at Jungfraujoch are noted in a journal.
